Hello children!

(That’s your cue to say “Good Morning Teacher Angel” in unison. No pressure.)

So I wore browns today! I know, I know, it’s completely out of character; I’m usually dressed like a clown on crack. Today, I just reached for this more subdued palette, and I actually quite like it! However, in true Angel fashion, I just HAD TO throw on some sparkly heels to offset the earth tones. I bought these shoes for my birthday, and they make me so happy! I’m a sucker for glitter, sue me. The thick heel was the selling point for me, though. You would not BELIEVE how fast I can walk in these shoes.

You will notice that I am weave-less. DE-WEAVED SO SOON, ANGEL?? Yes!!! I seem to have developed some kind of allergy!!! *gasp* Ok, so the hair I had on was made of “High-Tex” fiber, which I’ve never had before. When I tell you that I was itching and scratching like I had fleas, I mean every word. Like an idiot, I thought, ah it’s no big deal, it’s probably just because I haven’t had weave in for a while. Come Monday morning, I had broken out SO BAD – my forehead, the back of my neck, the sides of my face o_O I knew it was an allergic reaction because it wasn’t like acne, it was more like… I dunno, like bumps, I guess. So I wrapped it up away from my face and went to class and by the time I got back, I wasn’t as itchy. Long story short, I ended up taking it out that evening, and by yesterday morning my skin was fine. :-O
I’m a bit sad because I really liked it! I had straightened it and cut uber-cute bangs into it :-/
Anyway, I’m going to take the rest of the week off so my skin can recover… then… well, back to my regular brand, I guess. :-S

Did you think I was going to say, “no more weave for me”? HAHA don’t hold your breath :-D

In other news, my NE-YO has come out swinging with Don’t Make ‘Em Like You… and let me be the first to say, that song is THE BIZNESS!!! Have a listen and tell me I’m fronting:

On repeat! Ne-Yo is just so good for my ego.

I’m having such a good day! GREAT energy, I don’t know where it’s coming from but no complaints here! I was going to take pictures outside on the way back from class but it’s the middle of the day and the sun is just… wow. I mean, it’s lovely and I’m so grateful, but it’s just TERRIBLE for photo-taking. Plus there were a couple of leery construction workers -___- So I marched off to the Marine Drive commonsblock because I just love the high ceilings in there! Whaddaya think?

Yes, people, it is my maternity dress again. I just… I just love it, really. The dots are so cute and whimsical. I decided to swipe on some lipstick because I looked too monochromatic. I think I’m getting into lipstick again. o_O

As you can see, I am LOVING this bag, which was a birthday gift. It’s already falling apart! I’ve worn it NON-STOP for the past few weeks, and you know how I like to switch bags! It’s just the perfect size and colour and… ah, it looks like a Chanel, ok? Don’t judge me.

Happy Humpday, everyboddayyy!

I’m wearing a dress I made over the summer :) I fell in LOVE with the fabric, and ended up buying like 12 yards of it :-O which now lies in abject disuse because WHO has time for sewing while school is in session? :-S
Anyway, I love these kinds of dresses, loose and flowy – the epitome of comfort, really. I ended up having a ton of longer ones made as well, which make me look like somebody’s mother. :)
Also, we’re having lovely, LOVELY weather today, I’m just loving it! :)

These pictures were actually taken of me by somebody in one of my classes. As we were leaving class, he was like, where are you going? So I told him I had to take pictures for my blog. And he was like, oh I’ll come along, I’m not doing anything. *groan* *shoot me now* I hate being watched while I take pictures, it makes me so nervous and awkward :-S but I completely BLANKED and couldn’t quickly come up with a polite way to say NO, LEAVE ME ALONE so I obliged. Then he offered to take them, and it turned out not-horrible :) Figures.  So, thank you, Matt, but… um… never again. :) It’s not you, it’s me. :)

Oh my gosh, you guys, I really feel bad for my roommate. I had braids on when we first met, then I took them out and was walking around the house looking ratchet (you know how ROUGH you look when you first take braids out?), then I go into my room for a couple of hours, and when I come out, luscious locks from God-knows-where. Her confusion is so palpable :’D but I think she’s kind of scared  to ask me what the deal is… and I’m not volunteering information because… well, I’m finding it so hilarious! Cheap thrills! :’D Go ahead, say it. “Angel, you are a bad person.”

I took out my braids last night (yes, I had braids in – oh my goodness, I’ve been away for so long) and my hair is looking all types of horrendous, hence the headscarf.

It feels so weird to be blogging! SUCH a long hiatus! I really just needed time off, from everything, to kind of sort myself out, beyond blog stuff. I turned 21 while I was away :) and I feel a lot more… together. Still a work in progress, by all means, but less all-over-the-place, you know?

Howdy, pardners!

Monday! I wish I could say I have the blues like everybody else but I don’t! They were summarily banished by an intensive session of cardio and kickboxing – the latter of which is now my new FAVOURITE thing to do! I’m a beast… I’m a boss… Pow pow pow!

Super cazh outfit here, huh? LOOOOWWWW effort after that gym session, man. I do love me some coral + turquoise, though. Yum. It reminds me of dessert! And, gosh, can we just discuss how I can’t stop wearing these shoes?! I’m sure you guys must be sick of seeing them on here! But I can’t make any promises… they are probably still going to make a bunch of appearances! :) They’re just so purrdy :) :) :)

Errands + vegging. Seriously, my mental faculties are in a state of abject disuse. :-/

Today has been such a chill day. Chill enough for me to be seen in public sans earrings *gasp*! Yeah, pretty chill. Weird weather, though! :/

I ended up needing to hijack someone’s scarf to keep me warm :)

The top… is actually my white bodycon skirt! I told you guys I would keep doing it :) The pants, I jacked from my mom last summer, they’re a bit too big for me now… as are most of my pants :(

So I started kickboxing this week. My goodness, I didn’t realize how much of a fighter I am! I’ve never really considered myself a particularly violent person, but it turns out I have a lot of pent up aggression! Seriously! I am a kickboxer par excellence. Today during my session, Kanye’s “Stronger” came on… and turned me into a BEAST. Masalale! I pity the fool that comes after me in a dark alley or someplace… [insert Mr T voice here] I pity the fool…

ION I’m so happy the running has started at the Olympics!!! Finally! I haven’t really been paying attention, to be honest, but now I’m ALL OVER IT! Go Team Kenya woooooooooo!!!

As promised, here is my outfit of the day. How prompt :)

I wore two skirts again… I just couldn’t find my purple top so I figured, necessity is the mother of invention. I really like how it turned out. This is something I’m going to be doing a lot of :)

I keep  finding excuses to wear these shoes. If I’m not careful, I’m going to wear them into the ground, gosh. Also, as you can see, I am THOROUGHLY obsessed with this bag. I love it to PIECES.
