How is everybody doing?
One day to the weekend, wooooooooo! I say that like I have massive plans when really, I don’t.
I spent most of today indoors, re-reading the Potter books. I started the other day, read through the Philospher’s Stone and the Chamber of Secrets, then this morning I decided to skip to the Order of the Phoenix, because it’s my favourite one in the series. I am SUCH a Potterhead. Anyway, about an hour ago I realized I had to rush into Karen to pick a few things up so I just put on some shoes and left. Then I ran into someone from my past at Nakumatt and she said I looked good, so I decided to blog it when I got back.
What do you guys think? I absolutely LOVE this dress. My mom picked it up for me it Accra and it reminds me so much of my darling Ewuraesi, who is always prancing around Vancouver in these ankara frocks. They are perfect for lazy days. Minimum effort, maximum payoff. Since it’s chilly in Nairobi today, I wore calf-length tights underneath and I was golden! :)
I’m crazy about these yellow shoes! Gosh, they are so damn YELLOW! Mmmmmmmh! They make me want to sing and dance in the street. They’re my Happy Shoes. :)

Oh my goodness, you guys, I was at Dormans in Karen, and the girl at the table diagonally across from me was on her laptop, editing a picture of herself (a face shot and yes, it was all duckface and peace sign). Before my very eyes, this girl eliminated every spot, every pore, every wrinkle, made her eyes a really light brown, made her fricking EYELASHES longer, somehow made her nails longer AND uploaded it to Facebook! Dude, my mind was BLOWN. I just sat there TRANSFIXED. I sometimes have to fiddle with the contrast and the brightness of the shots on the blog when my lighting is misbehaving, and that’s pretty much the entirety of my editing process. THIS CHICK, THOUGH. Eish, whoever is trying to impress WILL BE IMPRESSED. Dude. I remember how when I was on Facebook I would fiddle with my pictures because I had serious Profile Pic Anxiety, but that girl is the WINNER. Sheesh.
Anyway, that’s all for today!
God bless you all!

That chick at Dormans must have excellent skills in Photoshop! But Kenyan men hate plastic girls though.
I don’t think photo-editing necessarily makes a girl plastic, but I do think it’s important to stay within the lines of credibility. :)
Hi, you. Long time no comment! :)
I used to vibe some chick on FB then we ended up meeting for coffee (coincidentally at dormans too)…..let’s just say I was in for a surprise. smh you women are so deceptive…
“you women”? Hey! Don’t band us all together, man. Lol I’m sorry about that little surprise… but you should have been after her personality! :)
I salute that girl, I cant use photoshop to save my life…well if it must be really important to her. Looking good hun.xx
I guess so, but dude, I’m with you, Photoshop is so hard!
Thank you, NM.
