Bonjour cheris!  Quoi de neuf? It’s a gorgeous day in Angel-land!!! Sunshine! Amen and amen! I’m in such a brilliant mood! Happy camper is me!

THIS IS MY 100th POST!!!

How crazy is that? I can’t believe I’ve churned out 100 outfits. What a shallow little banana I am. :) But you know you love me. :) :) :)

So because I’m all types of crazy, I went ahead and wore two skirts that I am LOVING at the moment. I COULDN’T PICK ONE!

Btw, don’t ask me about that random splotch in the middle of my frames, dude I dunno either :S

Well?

I’m LOVING it! ZOMG! You guys already know I have big love for the pencil skirt, but MY GOODNESS this high low skirt is giving me LIFE right now! So to have them both on… YES! I love when an outfit makes me feel good. And this one… MAKES ME FEEL GEWDDDDDDD!!! I think the best thing about the high-low trend is how glam you feel with all that fabric flowing behind you! It keeps catching the breeze and honey, I feel like I have a big ol’ fan at some big ol’ photoshoot like a big ol’ star! Pipe dreams, I know, but it sure is fun pretending! God, I’m really really enjoying wearing this today. Don’t be surprised if this is all I wear for a while!

The One with the Purp and Yellow

How y’all doing??? Good weekend, everyone? Everybody safe and blessed?

I’m wearing an LA Lakers-inspired color scheme today! Yesterday I watched one of the NBA playoff games with The  (read: sat around while he watched the game) and just to spite him I said I would support the Lakers (he supports the Spurs. What a loser). Purp and yellow, baby! You mad, bro? HAHAHA

I was afraid this outfit would be too matchy matchy, you know what I mean? But I love how it turned out! I think the coat really classed it up and kept it from looking too skeezy, plus that bright yellow lining doesn’t hurt! :) I never wear two items of the same colour top + bottom, but lately I’ve been experimenting with a few of the things on my DON’T list. And I’m enjoying it!

My best friend, main squeeze and partner-in-crime Ewuraesi left Vancouver today for the summer. I am so BUMMED OUT. I did my best not to collapse into hysterics while she was leaving, but when I got back to my room, I just broke down and cried my eyes out. She’s been my support system through so much… I just… ugh. She really is my rock. Love you, boobie! Email me the SECOND you get to Accra! (Yu fyne doe! LOLOL)

Short, succinct post today because I’m running fifteen (!!!) minutes behind schedule. Oh, Angel, perpetually late, smh.

The One with the Orange Sherbet Skirt

How are ya? Tuesday treatin’ ya okay? :) Mine’s been… meh. It was such a weird day. I spent the first 3 hours of my day on the phone with The because we’re both just lazy potatoes, and then when I eventually got going, it was already like halfway through the day. The sun was shining earlier but by the time I got back from errand-running it was properly raining. Come on, Vancouver -_____- So what was going to be a cute summery outfit ended up having to be topped off with a blazer. :/

I was actually going to return this skirt… but I reached for it on a whim today and fell head over heels in love! It reminds me of orange sherbet! -om nom nom nom nom nom nom- plus it’s all kinds of trendy (maxi… sheer… bright… I think we’re looking at a hat trick here, ladies and germs). Winning!

The One with the Leopard Print Booties

How goes it? Anybody else having an AWESOME Monday? No? Ok then :/

Today’s outfit was such a throw-on-and-go affair; I had to meet my friend Sharon really early this morning because she’s a crazy banana with unrealistic demands. So… jeans. I’m glad I got to wear them, though! I can’t let new clothes just sit lolol.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH I’m so in love with these boots! It is ridiculous, honestly. I lusted after the Louboutin Leopard Print Daf Booty for SO LONG, but let’s be honest, WHO has all that money? Not me, that’s for sure. Then one fine day I was perusing Shoedazzle and drooling over everything when SUDDENLY this boot appears in my “you might also like” section. I was like AGUKAXGHBTDWYCFOIXLJASULG!!! And I was on it like white on rice. When they were delivered I got the squealies and probably annoyed the crap out of my roommates… but… OMG can you blame me? Abso-love.

In other news, I had the strangest conversation last night/this morning. OK, back story. I was agitated and in a bit of a funk last night – couldn’t sleep, couldn’t think, just restless and annoyed – so I left my house at like 2 in the morning to go get a milkshake at McDonald’s (which, OH MY GOODNESS YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS). And on the way I walked by this guy who was smoking that stuff (censored for my mom’s peace of mind) and sort of crying and laughing at the same time. Anyway, he started talking to me and I didn’t want to be mean to someone who was obviously really sad, so we ended up talking all the way to McD’s and then half of the way back (at which point he decided to just sit down randomly at a bus stop -_____- Drugs are bad. Anyway, he was crying over some girl. It’s funny. I’m never surprised to see girls crying over boys… but it never occurs to me that guys go around crying over girls. It was kind of funny though, because there were tears but he was laughing. Oh gosh. I found it so funny. His story was really disjointed and hard to follow but from what I gathered, they broke up like a year ago and now she’s dating someone and his heart is broken. :( Aw. Sucks.

The One with the Yellow Blazer

Greetings Earthlings!

Semeni! Man, have I missed blogging or what? What. Lolol. How have you bananas been? Hali ya maisha? After a longish disappearance I’m back! I survived exam season like a boss. :)

This morning, I slept through my alarm and so missed church! I usually have to wake the other girls up and I forgot so I feel really guilty because they didn’t make it either… I know – bad Angel! Bad, bad Angel! :/ I eventually got up and went out for early lunchie munchies with a friend for catch-up times. I tend to lose touch, and usually it’s up to the other person to MAKE me stay in touch. I’m so thankful I have friends who accept me for the flake I am… :-P

I got the jacket and the skirt yesterday and I am so immeasurably SMITTEN with both, oh my goodness. I HAD TO wear them today. It had to be done. Which is why I forced a fancy-ish outfit on a very casual lunch. Ei, Angel… forever overdressed, smh.

Also of note are the shoes, which I got off Shoedazzle. On the site it says they are a roughly 4.75″ heel, which was a selling point for me, because I wanted a demure black shoe with a little bit of pizazz. I was hoodwinked! Scammed! Duped! Misled! Flim-flammed, I tell you! We’re talking SIX solid, no-nonsense INCHES of heel, you guys! But lo, behold, the platform is so massive that they are PERVERSELY WALKABLE! How??? How do they do this? I am so baffled! It felt almost sinful to be wearing a shoe so high and not want to cry. Such indulgence. I love them. BUT I STILL DON’T HAVE MY DEMURE SHOE!!! :’(

While I was on hiatus, my baby brother turned 19. Ok I know I actually can’t, in good conscience, call him my ‘baby’ brother any more… :’( They grow up so fast! On his birthday (which was the 12th, by the way. Please say Happy Belated birthday to Bernie!), I had such an overwhelming feeling of being OLD! Or at least old-ER. My little brother has always been remarkably mature and is a veritable MAN by any standards and now that he’s exiting the teen years I feel like I should, by extension, be more of a grown-up. And I’m not. Or am I? I DUNNO!!! I’m going to be 21 in September and in so many ways I feel 15, and in so many other wasy I feel 30! :-S Booooooo for identity crises.

Anyways… I’m going to evening mass later today to make up for this morning. I know I can’t wear such a microscopic skirt to church so I’m gunna maybe throw on some jeans? I dunno. If it’s cute I’ll take pictures! If not… I will die with the secret. LOL.

Excuse the unexplained, unprecedented (ahem) hiatus. It isn’t just one of my regular lazy spells. I have finals, y’all! The internet is a DRUG so I find it safer to just stay away completely, as opposed to kujidanganya and then getting distracted for hours. :/
